This website was extremely helpful, in helping me to understand why it is important for me to have an antibiotic premed, because I have mitral valve prolapse, and i have always taken it, but not really understood why it is so important. Taking up antibiotic is a nice way of preventing the infections caused by bacterias. In dentistry, taking up antibiotic is really advisable especially when undergoing some dental procedures such as putting up dental implants.
